Sanitary registration is the authorization and control exercised by the Ministry of Health on products that are manufactured, imported, packaged or marketed in the country, which are of sanitary interest, after verification of compliance with the requirements established in the corresponding legal framework. All products that are imported and marketed packaged or manufactured in Panama, whether they are food, cosmetics, or medicines (both for human and animal consumption), must have a sanitary registration and comply with the requirements established for obtaining them.
The entry and exit of food in Panama is regulated by the Panamanian Food Authority (APA), which is in turn regulated by the Ministry of Health (MINSA). To carry out this process, you must have a license, but before that, you must have the MINSA Operations Permit. We will be your perfect guide and support in this process.
The National Directorate of Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance is the entity responsible as a member of the APA for verifying all the documentation presented for the issuance of the Sanitary Registration of the food product. In this step, it is important that you have a company that is well versed in the diligence and supports you.
